BTR Artists on Tour: Featuring Pavement, Javelin, and Jarrod Gorbel

PAVEMENT

Of all of the bands I thought would never play live again, Pavement was on the top of the list. However, the group just kicked off their extensive tour on March 1st in New Zealand to a sold out crowd.

According to reports the band is in full form and are not missing a single beat. Their set list consisted of 30 Pavement classics with no fan favorite left out. If you haven’t brought your tickets to the reunion shows yet, now is the time to snag a pair. A majority of the concerts have already sold out, but the band has been adding more dates for the summer as well as the fall.

Take a peak below to see if the godfathers of indie are stopping in your neck of the woods. Next week Pavement will also be dropping their first greatest hits album titled Quarantine the Past (Matador).

JAVELIN

Brooklyn electro group Javelin, who have been making major waves since CMJ 2009, have been busy on the road lately. The duo just finished up dates in the United Kingdom with Yeasayer, and are taking a break for a couple of weeks before they head to SXSW. After their shows in Austin they will be heading out on a national tour with These Are Powers, and then back for more dates with Yeasayer!

These guys are sure going to be busy, especially with their full length, No Mas (Luaka Bop) being released in April. Catch them now so you can tell all of your friends you knew about Javelin before they did.

JARROD GORBEL

You may be still mourning the break up of The Honorary Title, at least you can catch their front man Jarrod Gorbel on his debut solo tour. Gorbel has been on the road for a few days in support of his solo venture and new EP Ten Years Older. Even though a full length record is not out yet it hasn‘t stopped him from revealing new, unreleased music every night. This may not be the end of the road for him as he plans to add more tour dates to his already popular shows. Take a look below and see when he’s in your town next.
