Today we feature an studio performance and interview with Paleface. They recently relocated to North Carolina from New York City, where PF had been a mainstay in the anti-folk scene since its beginnings in the early 1990s. He picked up his chops from Daniel Johnston, showed Beck the ropes on the lower east side, had a long recovery period after suffering a near fatal collapse while on tour with breeders, befriended anti-folkers including Kimya Dawson, Regina Spektor, and Langhorne Slim, and most recently, moved south with bandmate Mo at the gentle suggestion of good friends The Avett Brothers. They’ve been playing a ton of shows, and have a new album coming out April 28 on Ramseur Records. Check out the session here!
